IlyAIMY – mixing genres from rock to folk to soul to bluegrass with flavours as varied as jazz and hip hop, ilyAIMY combines award-winning songwriting, tight male/female harmonies, signature intricate slap-style guitar work, ukulele, djembe and an eclectically humorous stage show into an exquisite package. “Love’s Labour’s Lost” guest production. 8 pm. Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost is a comedy best known for its witty wordplay – the clever characters speak in puns, and less clever ones in malapropisms. Buy tickets here.
At the Clarice Center for Performing Arts in College Park
A Doll’s House from the UMD School of Theatre. Performed by an all-women cast, this production of Henrik Ibsen’s classic A Doll House questions the roles that society assigns to men and women. Set in late nineteenth-century Norway, the play follows Nora, a woman who seeks self-fulfillment and slams the door on the dollhouse that is her marriage. This fresh perspective on the classic play encourages audiences to question what has changed since 19th-century Europe through the interpretations of six women actors playing male and female characters. Thru Feb 15.
The Allman Others Band – comprised of a super-group of the area’s best local musicians, this DC tribute to The Allman Brothers recreates the mystery and magic of ABB classics. (8:30 to 11:30pm)

At the Greenbelt Community Center
Repair Cafeby Greenbelt MakerSpace 10 am – 2 pm in Room 114. Come learn how to repair tired or broken stuff or help repair others’items, and rescue them from the recycling or garbage bins. Bring clothing, furniture, kitchen appliances, computers, jewelry, toys, etc. for the challenge of making them useful again. Volunteers are welcome to join in making this a great community event; no experience necessary. Sign up as a volunteer .
Afro-Cuban Percussion Workshop With Doc Gibbs. You’re invited to attend a spiritually rich Afro-Cuban Percussion Workshop with the World-Renowned Percussionist Doc Gibbs! There will be a workshop demo, drum circle (bring your congas), one on one interview, and Q&A conducted by Michael Friend. All Trap Drummers & Hand Percussionists are encouraged to attend! 10 am – 1 pm.

New Hampshire Primary Watch Party 7-10. Join Denizens Brewing Co. for the FIRST primary on the road to the 2020 Presidential election season! On Tuesday, February 11th we are cracking into maple syrup season by offering flapjacks with beer pairings during our watch party to celebrate New Hampshire.
Dede and the Do-Rights – with strong vocal harmonies and infectious rock ‘n’ roots country, the Do-Rights are reflective of that time in the late 40’s to early 50’s when roots country music careened headlong into the birth of rock ‘n’ roll.(7:30 to 9:30pm)
Conor and the Wild Hunt – a lively quartet of prolific multi-instrumentalists animating compositions from cinematic ballads to explosive tribal-like passages with a focus on storytelling and activism.(7:30 to 9:30pm)
Galentine’s Showing: Wine Country! In honor of Rebecca (Rachel Dratch)’s 50th birthday, Abby (Amy Poehler) plans a scenic Napa getaway with their best, longtime friends. Workaholic Catherine (Ana Gasteyer), post-op Val (Paula Pell), homebody Jenny (Emily Spivey), and weary mom Naomi (Maya Rudolph) are equally sold on the chance to relax and reconnect. Yet as the alcohol flows, real world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures. Produced and directed by Amy Poehler, in her feature directorial debut.

Fez Tones Hafla – Join us for an evening of live Middle Eastern music & dance. Musicians will play exotic instruments such as qanun, oud, darbuka, and riq. Amazing performances by the region’s best belly dancers. There will be open dancing between dance performances, so dancers – bring your shimmy!(6 to 8pm)
