Full Power Blues with Mama Moon  – smooth Chicago-style blues with a side order of modern soul, ensured to make you wanna move and groove. (8:30 to 11:30pm)

“Marriage Story” directed by Noah Baumbach, starring Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, Alan Alda, Laura Dern, Ray Liotta.  A state director and his actor wife struggle through a grueling, coast-to-coast divorce that pushes them to their personal and creative extremes. Showtimes.

“The Lighthouse” From Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind horror masterpiece The Witch, comes this hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s. Showtimes.

At the Greenbelt Arts Center

“The Phantom Tollbooth” opens, 8 pm

In this play, the beloved children’s fantasy adventure comes to life as Milo and the faithful watchdog Tock travel to the Lands Beyond to rescue Princess Sweet Rhyme and Princess Pure Reason from the Castle-in-the-Air. The play, which features many Greenbelt residents both on- and off-stage, will appeal to all ages, with its fast action and amusing wordplay. Shows run from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 15, with performances on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 2pm.

City of Greenbelt Community Tree Lighting

7 pm in Roosevelt Center. FREE 
Roosevelt Center will sparkle as Greenbelt gathers to light the community tree, featuring complimentary cookies, hot chocolate, hot cider, and a musical performance by the Greenbelt Concert Band Brass Choir. Immediately following the tree lighting, come inside the Old Greenbelt Theatre and enjoy a short, classic holiday film – “Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”.
