ROBERT’S BIO
Robert Snyder was born in Ohio and lived there until his high school years, graduating from High Point High School in Beltsville, MD. Interested in drawing since childhood, his skill and interest in watercolor painting developed at Principia College (Illinois) where he studied under art instructors, Jim Green and Glenn Felch. After graduating with a BA in studio art and art history Robert studied fine arts at John Cabot College in Rome, Italy during the fall semester of 1977.
Since then Robert has worked as a graphic artist, free-lance illustrator and art teacher with the Prince George’s County public school system. He completed his MA degree in Art Education in 2003 from the University of Maryland. In 2008 he received a Fulbright-Hayes scholarship to study in Mexico for the summer semester of 2008. He resides here in Greenbelt where he has lived since 1989.
ROBERT’S ART
Robert’s drawings, watercolor paintings and the occasional mixed media works are inspired from places he has traveled to. His style is primarily representational and he prefers to depict subject matter that captures the nature and the architectural elements of the scene.
