Storage solution hall inside – 76″ tall x 10″ wide x 9.5″ deep (w/o door) shelf unit Colette Zanin made that fits in corner (Stairs down are to the right.) Look at all the stuff it can hold!
Storage solution bathroom inside view – 81″ tall shelf unit. Only 5.5″ deep (w/o door) which keeps it unobtrusive and lets you see everything easily.
Lori Reeder: This is a wall-mounted standing desk in our guest room of our 3 bedroom brick (sorry for the blurry photo). We used a drop-leaf NORBO table from IKEA (marked down to $29), a 46 7/8″ EKBY TRYGGVE shelf cut down to about 39″ wide, and 2 EKBY HÅLL brackets. We already had the screws for the brackets and we already had the white shelf below (currently holding my PC tower). The total cost of materials was about $45. The drop leaf table will fold down to about 4″ and the upper shelf is 11″ deep. Dropping the lower leaf when I have guests will really open up the room.
Photo 1 of 2: Solution to where to put the washer/dryer and where to store food without bending over to get it was to build 2 new closets IN the dining room, against the staircase wall in this BLOCK home. Both together take up 6′ by 2′ 8″ of space not being used, anyway. Next photo – inside the closets.
Photo 2 of 2: 2. In the closet with a door facing the back yard are the old stacked washer/dryer. Closer to the kitchen is a back-saving pantry, with light. Below the shelves is open space for trash, etc.
Container Store storage on the inside of the door to under-staircase closet in BLOCK home. Consists of one vertical rod in the middle, to which baskets of various sizes can be attached easily. So much easier to get to than IN the closet.
Colette Zanin; Storage solution hall outside – 76″ tall by 10″ wide by 9.5″ deep (w/o door) shelf unit I made that fits into unused corner. (Stairs down are to the right.) I used 2 “reclaimed” shutters for the door.
Colette Zanin: Storage solution bathroom outside view – 81″ tall x 11.5″ wide x 5.5″ deep (w/o door) shelf unit I made with scrap wood. Made/installed 3-tier towel rack to the right.
Extra storage in a block bath. Below the sink is a full cabinet, with matching hanging cabinet over the toilet.
Over-the-toilet-bowl hairdry holder from Container Store. Below is their super-slim trash basket

Colette Zanin: Behind-the-front-door storage area made from found/reclaimed materials. The bins & bags are from Dollar Tree. The two lower shelves fit behind the door and the slightly wider top shelf clears it.
