American Express’s small business division recently named Greenbelt’s own Proven Management LLC as its 2015 Woman Contractor of the Year for outstanding success in government contracting.

Proven Management is a certified woman- and minority-owned small business offering facility and logistics consulting services and generates 98% of its revenue through contracts with 28 federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, Federal Trade Commission and the Securities Exchange Commission.

I recently completed the long and frustrating process of registering as a federal contractor myself (for the nonprofit project DC Gardens) so I’m super-impressed with the success of this local small business.

Denita Conway, founder and CEO of Proven Management, has also been honored with a BRAVA award for smart leadership by SMARTCEO Magazine.
