Favorite Blues Festival Photos

The Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Ensemble

The return of Greenbelt’s Blues Festival in September of 2021 was a HUGE hit with what was possibly the largest crowd ever seen in Roosevelt Center!

So with our next outdoor festival coming up this week – the Crazy Quilt Festival with its assortment of music genres – we’re posting our favorite images of the Blues Festival, thanks to the photographers who gave us permission.

One band that especially energized the audience and dancers is missing from this collection – Honest Lee Soul. If anyone has photos or video of their performance during the Festival, please send to editor@greenbeltonline.org and they’ll be added.

Note in these night shots how effective the new lighting of the Mother and Child statue is! Thanks to the Greenbelt Arts Advisory Board for making that happen! How about some murals, next?
